Scenes from the rally I attended. Wish things turned out differently but in the end the point was made. No more bullshit please.

Video of the aftermath:
I grant you that the guys who breached the police barricade had it coming but I can’t help but feel the subsequent actions were overdone. The Police were just doing their jobs though and did it well until some idiot decided to charge the cops. Sigh…..
However, mission accomplished. People of all walks of life, races etc came together and demanded free and fair elections and the end of corruption. A noble cause.
Brings back old memories.

Lightning and rainfall,
The guillotine is ready,
Severs, Dismembers.
The wet pouring rain,
Washes away past sins and pain,
Absolution though pain.
Hallowed Be Thy Name,
Salvation through severance,
Decapitation.
The cold rain and pain,
Inquisition blames thy path,
False paths and blasphemy.
The rain does not slacken,
The inevitable comes,
The blinding sharp pain.
The cold howling wind,
Transcendence from bonds of past,
Iron will remains.
Angry rain still falls,
Dismemberment is my state,
Broken are my chains.
In a herd one is not allowed to stand out. If one does stand out, the outstanding one is usually beaten down as the rest of the herd does not want to feel any less than anybody else. In the wild, these are usually ostracized or at worst, left to fend for themsevles and perhaps fed to the predators. I suspect the the phrase “don’t rock the boat” is an axium that cuts across all types of social life forms.
Unable to accept diversity, unwilling to learn to be different, unwilling to enrich one’s identity due to pride or insecurity. The latter is most likely the main reason as it is within the nature of most to fear the unknown.
Herds come together for security and a common need. The former being the most important as it helps the members of the herd to feel secure. The latter may be safety in numbers which also indirectly promotes conformity. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, however does making oneself lost in a sea of sameness really promote humility?
